Ministry of Construction together with the regions will continue to implement the program of urban improvement. Over the next five years, 250 billion rubles will be allocated from the budget for these purposes. Oksana Demchenko, the director of the city's urban environment department, announced that half of this amount will be taken from regional budgets.

The program for the improvement of cities for the next five years from the budget will allocate at least 250 billion rubles., Including a minimum of 125 billion - regions. The funds will be allocated for the development of public spaces and courtyard territories.

According to Demchenko, the formation of a comfortable urban environment not the main objective of the program. The main goal is to involve urban residents and businesses in such projects. In particular, according to the director of the Ministry of Construction, they plan to develop a methodology for public-private partnership projects in the field of improvement.

According to her, one of these projects has already been implemented. Within the framework of the concession agreement, the embankment in Rostov-on-Don was reconstructed with the money of a private investor. After completion of the work, the concessionaire leased the adjacent territories and uses it to repay the investment (leases out to house a cafe, etc.).
